Cheesy & Sweet Truffled Honey Crostini

  • 1 french baguette, cut into 1/2" thick slices
  • 3 large Spanish onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing bread slices
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 (4oz) fresh goat cheese (any variety)
  • 2 tablespoons Selezione Tartufi Truffle Acacia Honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fruit or Herbs of your choice to garnish


  • Pre heat your oven to 425F degrees
  • On a large sauté pan, heat one tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and the butter, over medium-high heat.
  • Add the sliced onions and brown sugar, lower the heat to medium, and cook until translucent. (Stir occasionally 30 to 45 minutes or until the onions caramelized and golden.) Season with salt and pepper and reserve.
  • While onions are cooking, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set the baguette slices, brushed with extra virgin olive oil, on a single layer.
  • Bake for 8 minutes or until golden and crisp. 
  • Assemble your crostini with the caramelized onions and a slice of goat cheese on each baguette.
  • Turn your broiler on and broil the crostini for 3 minutes, just so the goat cheese melts slightly.
  • Remove from oven, finish off by drizzling the Selezione Tartufi Truffle Acacia Honey and add your favorite herbs and toppers to serve!
